When booking or commissioning an asbestos survey it is best to go to an independent surveyor. This will ensure that the recommendations are completely impartial and could save you money as a result.
An Asbestos Survey from an Independent Surveyor Will Definitely be Impartial
Asbestos removal can be an expensive business and that’s why it’s important to ensure that the advice you receive is impartial. An independent surveyor, with no vested interest in asbestos removal, will give you a full and clear picture on the risks posed by any asbestos identified, together with the resulting recommendations. Remember, asbestos does not always need to be removed, it can be managed in situ providing it is in good condition and monitored at the recommended intervals.
Core is an independent surveyor and so will be pleased to quote for any surveys you may require.
At Core Surveys, we offer two principal types of survey
Refurbishment and Demolition Asbestos Surveys (previously Type 3 Surveys): Needed before any refurbishment or demolition is carried out, to locate and describe, as far as reasonably practicable, all asbestos-containing materials in the area where the refurbishment work will take place or in the whole building if demolition is planned.
Asbestos Management Surveys (formerly Type 1 and Type 2 Asbestos Surveys): Usually required during the normal occupation and use of a building to ensure continued management of the Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) in situ.
